Actual occurrence in 1892

A 70 year old man was traveling by train. A young college student sat by his side reading a science book, while the old man read a book with a black cover.

The college student finally realized what the old man was actually reading, it was the Bible and it was opened to the book of Mark. Without much formality, the young man interrupted the old man’s reading and asked:

- Do you still believe in the stories and superstitions written in that book?

- Yes! But this is not a book of beliefs, this is the Word of God. Don’t you agree?

- Of course not! I think you should try learning more about history in general. This way, you would know how the French Revolution, which occurred over 100 years ago, revealed the myopia of religion. Only uneducated people still believe that God created the world in six days. You should try to learn a little more about what scientists have to say about that.

- Really? And what do scientists say about the Bible?

- ‘Well’, said the college student, ‘I’m getting off on the next stop, but give me your card and I will send you some material by mail.’

The old man carefully opened his jacket breast pocket and gave his card to the college student. When the young man read what was written on the card, he put his head down and left feeling smaller than an amoeba.

The card said:

"Louis Pasteur - Director of the Scientific Research Institute of the École Normale de Paris"

Remember the duck?

During the holidays, two siblings went to visit their grandparents, who lived in the countryside.

The boy made a slingshot to play in the woods. He was always practicing, but never hit the target.

One afternoon, he saw Grandma's pet duck.

Without thinking, he grabbed his slingshot, aimed at the duck and shot him in the head, killing him instantaneously. He was shocked and very sad! He began panicking and decided to hide the dead duck in the woods.

His sister, Beatrice, saw everything but didn’t say anything to their grandparents.

The next day, after lunch, the grandmother said:

- Beatrice, let’s wash the dishes.

But, she said:

- Grandma, Philip told me he wanted help in the kitchen.

She looked over at him and whispered:

- Remember the duck? – So, Philip washed the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children would like to go fishing, but Grandma said:

- I’m sorry, but I need Beatrice to help me make dinner.

Beatrice smiled and said:

- Okay, but Philip said he wanted to help today too.

She looked over at him and whispered:

- Remember the duck?

So, Beatrice went fishing and Philip stayed to help.

After several days, Philip was still doing all of Beatrice’s chores, until he finally could not bear it anymore. He confessed that he killed the duck to his grandmother.

His Grandma hugged him and said:

- Sweetheart, I know ... I was at the window and saw everything, but because I love you, I have forgiven you. I was just waiting to see how long you were going to let Beatrice boss you around!

Whatever happened in your past, whether it had to do with lies, deceit, bad habits, defilements, whatever it may be, you need to know that God was at the window and saw it all happen.

He knows your life and He wants you to know that He loves you and that you're forgiven.

He's just wondering how much longer you’re going to let the devil boss you around.

God is just waiting for you to ask Him for forgiveness because not only does He forgive, but He also forgets.

The price you must pay is to have faith that God will forgive you.

Go ahead, start making a difference and remember: God is at the window and He knows everything!

God's will won’t be revealed to you unless you act by faith.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1:9)

Half or Whole?

Reading the blog of Bishop Macedo, I came across a thought that left me shocked. The share is to understand what he spoke:

A man comes into the church. He has no legs, but he can crawl...

He makes his way up to the altar...
Amazed, everyone watches in silence.
With tears welling up in his eyes, he asks the pastor:
- Pastor, do you think God would accept half of a man?
Everyone wonders what the pastor's answer will be.
At that moment, God spoke through the pastor and said:
- Yes, God accepts half a man, if he surrenders himself wholly to Him, but He does not accept a whole man who is only willing to give half of him!
How have you presented yourself unto God?
 

After reading it I thought about what is delivered in half or wholly to God.

When meditating, I realized that it reflected what was my life for some time and if you wonder why? I will tell you.

When people spoke to me to accept Jesus as my only Savior, and so change my life, I liked the idea very much, I was excited, but there was a small problem (or so I thought) it was not just asking and expecting things God, but also to give my life totally to Him

I started attending church and there, men and women of God guided me on how to give my life to God.
The main thing was to accept it as my only Lord and Savior, and subsequently abandon the things that displease God, like lying, hatred, bitterness, resentment, bad temper, envy, bad words, selfishness, and so on.

Yeah, it was easier to say than done, my way to accept him as my God, but it remained the same, still lying, hating people, saying bad words, my character was awful nervous.
I was just a person claiming to have God, but my life was completely different from what it should be, in fact, was far from having an intimate relationship with God, my attitude did not reflect a person born of the Spirit of God was apparently only a Christian, not even intended to have a commitment to God.
Because my life did not change was the same and in some ways worse, went to church just to go, my life remained a mess.

After some time, came problems that simply were too much for me, left me depressed and out of breath to carry on, my burden had become very heavy and difficult to bear.
It was at that moment I decided to go back to that Almighty Being so wonderful and he had often heard such a great way to transform lives.

This time take seriously give my life completely to God, stripped of evil, and love to follow it.
Sure, it was not easy to abandon the old life he had led for years, but this time the decision to please God, was stronger than anything else and eventually succeeded.
There was a change from one day to another, was a process that resulted in a transformed life.
There were struggles, sacrifices, trials, temptations, but this time God backed me and that gave me the strength to keep going every day.

Now he has filled my life with joy, peace, love, joy, has completely transformed me, everything I was before, there is nothing, I am a new creature, he gave me one of the most precious gift is salvation.

I currently have my experiences to help people speak of God to those in need, proclaiming his Gospel, because there is a longing in me that just as He became a new person, you can change your life.

Do not "deliver" in half, not as I do not miss your chance to be happy, today and now, give your body, mind and soul to Jesus, He will take care of you and what you need.


And after this, will you still delivered to you given half or full? The decision is yours and nobody else.

"In regard to your former way of living off the old man who is corrupted by its deceitful desires, renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new self, created according to God in righteousness and true holiness." (Ephesians 4:22-24)


... And to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that ye may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3:19)

Are you ignoring the most important?

One of the things I enjoy doing is helping people. I go to the streets with a group of volunteers who, like me, want people to find peace, joy, health, prosperity, and so on. Through God.

All this because we want you to realize that for every problem there is a solution if you trust in God.
We approach people to talk and guide them when they tell us the problems they have.

This work is very beautiful, I love it. Through it has been life changing for many people.

But this time I want to share something that happened recently, while doing this.
All before we get a prayer asking God to guide us towards people need to hear a word of encouragement. And usually it is, well, that day we arranged to talk with people.

One of my colleagues approached a person and began by telling her that if she had problems, God could help her, because God never abandons those who turn to Him wholeheartedly.
And they know that the person replied: "I DO NOT WANT TO TALK ABOUT THAT, I DO NOT HAVE TIME", and left.


I watched the scene and to hear your response, I was very disappointed.
My disappointment was not the fact that she kindly ignores words that said, my disappointment was caused to see that people do not care more for God.


When a person is, looking at her watch in her grief that cause your problems. It's as if they had a sign that read "NEED HELP".

In my opinion no one can give us a better help than God.
But He can´t do anything in the lives of people who accept their problems as "normal," who believe that alone will do well, this is the life they live, that no one can help, that God forgot etc..

Every day I see more people ignore God, because they say they have no time, they are busy.Interestingly they have time to work, study, family, friends, couples, walking, movies, chat, surf social networking, internet and much more.
In the end, Where is the time for God?
But if you ask them to those who ignore God, life is like; give you a long list of how miserable it is.
And they still wonder why God does not help me? Did not you see I'm suffering? Surely God nor there, because I never help? Etc.

But I ask: How much time do you dedicate to God? How many hours or minutes you give away your day? Do you make your Will or yours? Have you away from bad to please God? How often do you talk to thank you for everything you give, for life, for your family? In order to have you put God above everything else?
I leave it up to you the answers.


How can we expect God to help or answer if you do not take time?
We depend on Him to accomplish things and ours to lend a hand. It's mutual.


We must approach Him, as he says in his Word: "And now, saith the Lord, Turn to me now with all your heart ..." (Joel 2:12)

Therefore we must turn to Him, accept Him as our Lord and Savior, as our strength, our priority, to love Him with our whole being.
He wants to give us a happy life, and help us all fulfill our dreams, but for that to happen, we must have the sincere desire to know and obey.


After reading this article, two things happen:

1. Take the same attitude of the person and say, "I do not care that topic, I have no time"

2 .- To reflect on what you described and accept that they may not have taken the time to God, but want to, want him to guide you, help and many more things that only He can bestow.

I congratulate you. He begins to spend time with God talking with Him, reading the Bible, begins to make pleasing to your eyes.


Remember that God is waiting for a long time, he is not upset with you, the opposite is very happy that you decided to accept it.
He loves you and always will, let him be who guide your steps and you will come to life He has prepared for you.


You choose to ignore it or give it the time it deserves, the choice is yours, I already chose and do you?


"For the ways of the Lord are right, the just shall walk by them, the more the rebels will fall on them."

Warranty seal

Nothing is more important than the guarantee of eternal salvation of the soul.

Jesus says: "What is the advantage of winning the whole world and lose your soul?"
It is impossible to achieve and maintain without the effective participation of the Holy Spirit. He alone is able to teach, guide, strengthen, sustain and keep the followers of His Son on the Road.
Every branch that bears no fruit is cut. Remains only in the tree branch that bears fruit. The Holy Spirit, for us, is like the sap that gives us life. Without sap the branch is dry. Without Him, not eternal life.
I've seen many people being cured of various diseases, free from all kinds of evil spirits, conquer a stable economic life, in short, achieve wonders for the faith and, then, leave. Unfortunately, most forget that if the faith is achieved, the question is lost. Faith needs maintenance.
People away from God loaded the problems on their heads, are oppressed, living based tranquilizers, antidepressants, drugs and no peace in their homes. Who has the Holy Spirit of God also goes through problems, the difference is that these problems are not over their heads, but under his feet under control.

Only those who are sealed by the Holy Spirit stands, they only true "called and chosen" that the Bible is concerned. God has "called" to many, but few are "chosen".
"Divine Injustice? No. Just as the soul's salvation is offered to everyone, including all was the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
The problem is that not everyone is willing to sacrifice his own life. What can you do?
All right material handling needs. The same goes for the greatest good spiritual salvation of the soul.
The Holy Spirit is the flame that keeps the faith off, he is the seal of eternal life.
